2018-19 WeAreSR! Meetings

WeAreSR! - The second Wednesday of every other month at 7pm and the second Friday of every other month at 8am in school library.

Athletics- The first Wednesday of every month at 7pm in the school library.

Art- The fourth Thursday of every month at 4pm in one of the Art rooms

Drama- The third Tuesday of every month at 6:30pm.

Music- The second Tuesday of the month at 7pm.

SRHS Fundamentals

SRHS Open House

The SRHS Open House is on Wednesday, January 16th.  The  open house  is designed for current and prospective families to learn about SR’s educational program.  Teachers, counselors and students will present information about department course offerings, academies, career technical education, and the counseling and college readiness programs at SR.  Student Link Crew guides and staff will help families navigate the campus. Spanish translation will be available.  The evening will start at 6pm in the Hayes Theater with a welcome and overview of the evening.  From 6:30-8:00 pm, parents can attend four twenty minute informational sessions of their choice offered throughout the campus.  Hope to see you there!

Senior Cap & Gown Info

Each senior was provided a graduation planner at school this week during Advisory with information about ordering your seniors cap and gown and graduation announcements and accessories. Orders for the cap and gown, class ring, and graduation announcements may be placed online HERE 

The deadline for orders is January 15th. Every senior must order their cap and gown. If you have any questions, please contact Bill Reid from Jostens at 415-472-7871 or bill.reid@jostens.com .

Upcoming Parent Ed Nights

San Rafael City Schools teachers, staff and administrators have been participating in Courageous Conversation workshops and meetings throughout the year. Now, we are happy to announce that there will be an "Introduction for Parents and Community" Courageous Conversation seminar on Tuesday, January 29 from 5 - 7:30 pm at the San Rafael High School Library.   Courageous Conversation is Pacific Educational Group's (PEG) award-winning protocol for effectively engaging, sustaining and deepening interracial dialogue. Through their Framework for Systemic Racial Equity Transformation, PEG is dedicated to helping educators address persistent racial disparities intentionally, explicitly and comprehensively.

On February 6, 7:00-8:30 p.m., Challenge Success presents The Well-Balanced Student in the Hayes Theater. Challenge Success is a research-based organization founded by Madeline Levine, Ph.D., Jim Lobdell, M.A., and Denise Pope, Ph.D. that develops practical curriculum, conferences, and programs for parents, schools, and kids looking for a healthier and more effective path to success in the 21st century.
